Enterasys offers business needs solutions
New products will address end-user access and security concerns
Networking vendor Enterasys has claimed its latest product iterations will benefit resellers by addressing end-user access and security concerns.
The company, which moved to a pure channel strategy about 18 months ago, has expanded its Matrix N-Series switching platform and modules in an attempt to focus on businesses needs.
"Customers are demanding answers to more and more business issues from their networks," said Daniel Mothersdale, marketing director northern Europe at Enterasys. "It is not just about speed but about having a network that does what the business needs."
Enterasys currently sells through Ingram Micro, Computer 2000/Azlan and e92plus, through which it deals with 300 accredited resellers in the UK.
Although the company has restructured since moving to an indirect sales model, it has kept a "core of former direct salespeople to generate leads and support the channel", Mothersdale said.
Kevin Vine, director of networking services at Ingram Micro, said the distributor has been working with Enterasys for about six months and the number of resellers engaging with the vendor has grown.
"It has a loyal installed base and product upgrades are usually swallowed up by these," he said.
