CHS and Azlan look for Eastern Block push
Both CHS Electronics and Azlan have been shopping for distributors in Eastern Europe. CHS, which has announced a reverse stock split in the US, has bought 51 per cent of Kventa Hungary KFT, a distributor of PCs and office products. Azlan has joined the rush, paying #66,000 up front in cash for Czech distributor ENS Daten-systeme in a deal dependant on the company's performance.
The cost to Azlan could be up to #1.43 million in shares if ENS meets its financial targets. Azlan Group CEO Christian Martin said that Eastern Europe provided many opportunities for UK distributors and allowed the company to meet the increasing demand for Pan European suppliers amongst large dealers and users.
