Ebuyer opens doors to Hut.com partnership
Retailer looks to wider markets to boost Christmas turnover
Online retailer Ebuyer has broadened its horizons in the run up to Christmas by signing an affiliate partnership deal with online retailer The Hut.com.
Ebuyer is aiming to boost sales by giving its customers access to The Hut.com’s range of games, DVDs, music and books.
“This is our first affiliate partnership but we are looking at others. We’re constantly looking at ways to increase our product range,” said Helen Slinger, head of marketing at Ebuyer.
Slinger claimed the deal will bring greater choice to Ebuyer’s customers, and will have strong commercial gains for both parties. “Our customers shop with us to get the best prices on home entertainment products so it makes sense to offer them low prices on DVDs and music via an affiliate deal. Providing a one-stop online shop can only prove more convenient and cost effective for consumers,” she said.
“This quarter is by far the biggest quarter for this type of product so we are anticipating that it will help boost pre-Christmas sales,” she added.
Richard Darby, marketing manager at the Hut.com, added: “Both the Hut.com and Ebuyer are dedicated to giving customers value for money, so the partnership deal is a good fit for our brands. This is the first partnership of this type that we have struck, and we look forward to working with the team at E buyer.”
