Galtec targets market expansion
Reseller launches Technical Services division
VAR Galtec Solutions is looking to acquisitions and the launch of a new technical division to push growth.
The firm, which has grown by 500 per cent since its inception in 2005, recently launched Galtec Technical Services in response to growing demand from its customer base for an integrated service offering.
Mark Adams, founder of Galtec, said: “This is a value add service that we provide to our customers and is designed to inspire loyalty to Galtec.
“We are heavily involved with the SME sector, which expects a lot of value from its IT products. With this service we can not only install the technology, but support and maintain it as well.”
In terms of acquisitions, Adams said: “Our services interest will more than likely grow by acquisition as it is the fastest way to grow. We would certainly enter into discussions if the right opportunity came along.”
Adams claimed Galtec has also become the first VAR to implement a Broadband over Electrical Networks (BoEN) system at North Yorkshire-based Ackworth School.
Nick Hindley, network technician at Ackworth School, said: “We now have complete flexibility and aesthetically the installation looks good because it has not altered the building in any way. If a teacher comes to me and asks for internet access in a particular classroom, I can now give it to them instantly.” C
