Magirus signs Netuitive
Storage distributor inks pan-European deal with self-learning performance management vendor
Pan-European storage distributor Magirus has signed self-learning performance management software vendor Netuitive.
Magirus will distributor Netuitive’s portfolio in the UK – as well as Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Magirus will focus on distributing, marketing and supporting Netuitive SI for VMware – a real-time, self-learning management tool for monitoring virtual environments.
Niall McGrane, director of security and virtualisation at Magirus UK, told CRN that Netuitive complements the distributor’s virtualisation offering.
“The vendor’s software learns the host’s behaviour and can tell where it is performing and where it is not. It creates a template based on the behaviour and therefore can predict any problems up to two hours before they happen,” said McGrane.
McGrane said that Magirus aims to keep its partners ahead of the technology curve and is therefore always looking for new vendors with innovative offerings.
Magirus has created a Netuitive team, offering technical skills, including pre- and post-sales technical services, consultancy services and support with joint marketing and sales engagements.
The distributor also has plans to provide training and certification services for Netuitive solutions.
Robin Jackson, European director of sales at Netuitive, said: “Netuitive foresees significant potential in Europe for our self-learning technology and so far have only addressed the tip of the iceberg.”
“Magirus is an ideal partner for our European expansion, given its extensive market presence and virtualisation expertise,” he added.
