Alcatel launches My Marketing Agency programme
Telephony vendor's scheme aims to help partners develop own marketing strategies
Telephony vendor Alcatel has launched a programme to support its resellers’ marketing activities.
The ‘My Marketing Agency’ scheme will help Alcatel’s business partners develop their own marketing strategy and better promote themselves to potential customers, the firm has claimed.
Peter Tebbutt, marketing director for the enterprise solutions division at Alcatel UK and Ireland, told CRN: “The My Marketing Agency scheme reinforces Alcatel’s commitment to a 100 per cent channel-focused strategy. It is trying to move Alcatel up the value chain in terms of marketing.
“We will provide partners with more funding for marketing and help them with the quality of their marketing skills.”
Tebbutt added that the scheme is available to all partners and a trial period had received positive feedback.
“This scheme will reaffirm the Alcatel brand and our business partners’ brands, which will create more brand awareness and lead generation for our channel,” he said. “The scheme will also help drive the convergence message to end-users, while positioning Alcatel business partners to take full advantage of the ensuing sales opportunities.”
Tom Perry, marketing manager at Alcatel VAR Freedom, said: “My Marketing Agency complements our existing marketing activities. So far it has enabled us to identify a number of prospective clients.”
