Tiltman to plug Graydon CreditPal

Credit reference agency signs former C2000 credit director Nick Tiltman to push latest initiative

Nick Tiltman: It is an exciting project to be involved in

Nick Tiltman has signed a 12-month contract with credit reference agency Graydonto help spread the word about its latest credit checking initiative.

Tiltman left his position as credit director at Computer 2000 (C2000) last month and set up his own consultancy practice European Plus. His remit is to promote Graydon’s CreditPal initiative to distributors, vendors and resellers, as well as to firms outside the channel.

CreditPal is a joint initiative between analysis firm FutureRoute and Graydon, which allows credit managers within individual firms to source accurate management accounts and credit recommendations on all their SME clients.

The SMEs in question can also benefit from the system because it allows them to generate monthly management accounts to help them boost their own credit rating.
Martin Williams, chief executive of Graydon, said: “We have engaged Nick to promote some pilot trials of CreditPal within enterprises, including channel companies.

“With his channel knowledge he will be able to demonstrate how the system could help resellers improve their credit rating through distribution, and ultimately get more credit.

“Nick has a great reputation and carries a lot of gravitas and we are very happy to have him on board.”

Tiltman said: “I haven’t seen a system like this before and think it is an exciting project to be involved in. Initially I will probably target between 12 and 20 Graydon clients to get them involved in the pilot scheme.

“I think vendors and distributors should be getting involved in this, particularly with the recession. It will not only help them, but will be beneficial to their resellers as well, who can check their own customers’ credit rating to ensure they don’t get caught out.”
