ProCurve eyes growth
Networking vendor reveals three-pronged growth plan for 2009
HP Procurve is eyeing growth this year
Networking vendor HP ProCurve has claimed its distribution deal with Comstor marks the fruition of one of three key growth plans for 2009.
The Comstor deal raised channel eyebrows because the Westcon-owned distributor was previously focused on ProCurve rival Cisco.
Darryl Brick, UK and Ireland country manager at ProCurve, told CRN that Comstor would address the enterprise market and there would be little overlap with the channels served by ProCurve’s other distributors.
“Comstor has some large enterprise-class resellers and we want to provide them with a choice,” he said.
Brick hinted that this week would see a major announcement centred on the firm’s datacentre technology.
“Enterprise technology, partnerships and customers; these are the pillars of any growth,” he said.
