Sueltz logs onto LogLogic

Log management vendor unveils former SurfControl boss Patricia Sueltz as new chief executive

Former SurfControl head Patricia Sueltz has been named the new chief executive of security vendor LogLogic.

Sueltz had led SurfControl through a transformational reorganisation during her time at the vendor, which led to its $400m acquisition by Websense earlier this year (CRN Online, 27 April).

However, it was believed Sueltz was one of around 15 top-level SurfControl executives squeezed out when Websense started its attempts to cut costs (CRN Online 4 October).

In a statement Sueltz said: “LogLogic is experiencing growth well beyond market rates and is positioned at the centre of major technology trends sweeping the industry around compliance, security and the provision of intelligent management information from multiple logs.

“As the market leader in log management and intelligence solutions, LogLogic is rapidly expanding its domestic and global channel and is well positioned to become an integral and core component of IT governance, risk and compliance solutions for customers worldwide.”

Michael Goguen, general partner Sequoia Capital and chairman of the LogLogic board, said: “Pat brings proven leadership to LogLogic, an enviable track record of industry success and an unmatched commitment to customers.

“LogLogic’s cost effective log management and intelligence solutions have enjoyed remarkable success in the marketplace, and now Pat’s unique combination of talent and experience will take the business to the next level of growth. We are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
