Compusys has bought the assets of Western Systems, whose bankers appointed a receiver on May 2. The Buckinghamshire vendor has bought Western's name, customer database and outstanding order book.

Internetworking solutions provider FTP Software has bought Campbell Services for $15 million. Campbell develops Ontime, a client/server solution for group scheduling. Ontime will be sold by FTP's distribution channels.

Dell has signed up Leasing Solutions to provide a vendor leasing programme for its major corporate customers in Europe.

Systems International has appointed Peter Hall, former senior executive of American Express Europe, to its board of directors.

Adobe is holding its third annual calendar design competition with hundreds of pounds of Adobe software as prizes. The overall winner will also receive u500 to produce a piece of artwork for Save the Children. The deadline for entries is August 31.
