HP breaks down services for resellers
Flexible procurement options will benefit partners as well as customers, vendor claims
Care Pack Services can be procured in 'easy-to-source' units
HP claims it has simplified its partners’ ability to resell its services by breaking down engagements into 'easy-to-source' units of Care Pack Services.
The hardware giant today unveiled a slew of new data centre services aimed at small- to mid-size firms.
As part of this, HP has introduced flexible purchasing options designed to make it easier for SMEs to procure technology and, in turn, benefit partners.
Core to this is the introduction of HP Units of Service, which the vendor said will allow resellers to break down its services into bite-size chunks.
Custom technology services that can be procured through this model include relocation, integration, operations and improvement.
“HP has simplified the ability of channel partners to resell HP-delivered services, providing custom, statement-of-work engagements as easy-to-source units of HP Care Pack Services,” said the vendor.
The announcement also included the introduction of numerous new services. This includes HP Multivendor Support Services (MVSS), HP Insight Remote Support, HP Active Chat and HP Data Centre Training Symposium.
It also included a range of value assessment services structured for data centres of up to 5,000 square feet.
Mary McCoy, vice president of technology services at HP, said: “Clients can use HP services to achieve operational excellence in the data centre and better align resources to focus on technology innovation to drive growth and competitive advantage for the business.”
