Zen Internet contemplates nature of new partnerships
ISP continues to expand in managed services sector with two new partnerships
ISP Zen Internet has expanded its managed service offering through a partnership with distributor Fresh Egg and appliance vendor Fortinet.
Due to be launched today, the Zen Managed Security Service caters for firms with up to 500 employees, using Fortinet’s FortiGate F60, F100, F200 and F300 appliances.
Justin Barritt, product manager at Zen Internet, said the service, which provides on-demand reports to customers, can either be offered as a branded service through resellers or provided directly through Zen.
“We have had a growing number of customers and partners asking us about IT security, and we have been supplying a firewall for many years. But we believe the Unified Threat Management [UTM] appliance is the way forward, and we identified Fortinet as one of the leaders in the marketplace. This is why we are using its products for the service,” he said.
Barritt added that Fresh Egg will act as the sole UK distributor for the service. Zen expects to see particular success in vertical markets such as the public sector, finance and legal.
Graham Fox, managing director of Fresh Egg, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Fresh Egg and our resellers. Zen Internet is one of the premier UK ISPs. We have already completed its sales and technical training. It will make a big impression in the UTM space, and we are very excited by this partnership.”
