Logitech aims at businesses

Vendor sets its sights on the business market

Peripherals vendor Logitech plans to strip away its consumer focus and use the channel to expand into the business arena.

The vendor, which is distributed through Computer 2000, Ingram Micro and Westcoast, is encouraging resellers to ship additional peripherals to end-users.

Chris Spearing, country manager for UK and Ireland at Logitech, told CRN: “We have been a consumer brand and our business focus has been on and off, but now we are targeting the business channel.

“In a few years there is no reason why the business side of Logitech cannot be as profitable as the consumer side,” he said.

Sue Richards, managing director of reseller EBM, said: “Logitech does have a strong image and it is a good product set. It is always good to have adds-on in the industry, but this needs to be fully supported.”
