DSGi Business appoints new group sales director
Retail giant fills position left by Paul Barlow, who resigned in April
DSGi Business (formerly PC World Business), has appointed a former Hewlett Packard (HP) employee to the position of group sales director, replacing Paul Barlow who resigned in April.
Russell Flower held the position of solutions director at HP, responsible for the development of a new sales model for HP's European sales force. Prior to that Flower held sales director and senior sales management roles at Getronics, Synstar Computer Services, Granada Computer Services and EDS.
Flower will be responsible for the overall sales strategy and the co-ordination of the sales team covering PC World Business, Equanet and MacWarehouse in the UK. He will oversee a 700-strong sales force across the company’s three main offices in Bury, Borehamwood and Surbiton.
Jerry Roest, managing director of DSGi Business, said: “We have been searching for a high-quality candidate and believe we have found someone who is a great fit for our business. This is a vital role for our organisation, and Flower has a proven track record in driving sales and organisational success. He will play an important role in our strategy to continue growth and improve the customer experience across all of our brands.”
