Digicom adds new marketing manager

Outdoor advertising specialist ramps up sales and marketing

Out-of-home advertising specialist Digicom is ramping up for the next quarter

Digital media reseller Digicom has hired Liz Ross Martyn to take on a newly-created marketing manager role, reporting to sales and marketing managing director Chris Forrester.

Ross Martyn was formerly head of marketing at street furniture company JCDecaux, and before that, marketing communications manager at TDI, now CBS Outdoor.

Tom Goddard, executive chairman at Digicom, said Ross Martyn was a talented manager with a great track record.

“[She is] well known in outdoor circles, and very experienced in managing large marketing and research programmes. She is a real coup for Digicom,” he said.

The pure-play digital advertising sales house provides scale to network owners aiming for national advertising revenues.

Ross Martyn will take responsibility for defining the entire advertising sales proposition and help to develop the customer strategy, including audience research and campaign effectiveness programmes and all content creation for business partners.

The media company’s sales activity ramps up this month in preparation for an all-important Q4. According to communications agency Posterscope, the UK outdoor digital advertising market was worth £72m in 2008.
