Vendor helps partners make money from mobile applications

Business management software vendor Sage has launched a partner initiative designed to help end users access the vendor’s applications while on the move.

The Partners on the Move Club (PoMC) provides Sage Business Partners (BPs) with the tools and expertise needed to allow customers to use the firm’s CRM and business management applications on mobile devices.

The vendor has drawn on its strategic alliance with smartphone vendor Research In Motion (RIM) to roll out PoMC to its partners.

Steve Attwell, general manager for Sage’s lower mid-market division, said the company has already developed a number of products for Blackberry devices to help partners capitalise on the growing trend for mobile business applications.

He said: "As part of our commitment to helping Business Partners to unlock new revenue streams by supporting our mobile solutions, we have created the Partner on the Move Club. The new initiative will enable BP’s to maximise the opportunities that these new mobile solutions bring."
