Spicers adds Dell supplies to EOS stable

Wholesaler offers dealers next-day delivery on Dell ink and toner cartridges

Toning up: Spicers claims stocking Dell supplies will help its dealers

Office products wholesaler Spicers has beefed up its IT offering by adding Dell printer supplies to its portfolio.

The £300m-turnover firm has earmarked electronic offices supplies (EOS) as a priority growth area as it pushes further into the IT channel.

It will guarantee dealers next-day delivery on a range of new Dell supplies including ink and toner cartridges, which is something it claimed end users could not always get from Dell’s web site. Previously, it had only stocked Dell-compatible products.

The move is also designed to enable Spicers’ dealers to act as a single point of contact for stationary and EOS for Dell customers.

Jon Williams, head of EOS merchandising at Spicers UK, said: “There is a strong demand for Dell printer suppliers within our dealer base, and by stocking them we are helping dealers to source these products easily and quickly.

“Dealers can also be assured that we will do our best to source any products which they cannot find in our catalogue, ensuring they meet their customer’s requests.”

Details of the full range of Dell products, and up-to-date pricing information, will be available for dealers to download from the Spicers " click-n-print" site from 12 October.
