Data General is to offer Quantum's DLT 4000 family of tape drive products as options for use with its DLT 4000 Storage Subsystems backup products. The company has integrated the products into its Aviion product line through packaging, including rackmounted configurations.

Consumer electronics giant Dixons has implemented Transoft's U/SQL client/server at the core of an MIS solution within its financial division. Developed by Computer Associates, the solution will use the Transoft product to operate CA's Visual Express reporting tool with its Masterpiece sales ledger software.
