Siemens Financial Services appoints new boss

Former Norwich Union Insurance honcho takes on UK managing director role at business-to-business finance firm

Siemens Financial Services (SFS) has unveiled James Gearey as its new UK managing director.

Gearey joins SFS from Norwich Union Insurance where he was director of partnerships. He previously worked for General Electric and will commence his new role on April 1, where he will be charged with growing the company's UK business.

In his new role Gearey will report to Jonathan Andrew, chief executive of Siemens Financial Services Equipment Finance Europe/APAC. Andrew said: "These are exciting times for our business and James will be spearheading our aggressive and focused UK growth strategy.

"As such, I’m extremely pleased to welcome James to Siemens. He is a very driven individual with experience across a wide variety of market sectors. I’m more than confident he will become a highly valuable asset to our business.
