Dorchester out as DSGi Business boss

Company confirms managing director will be replaced by James Welsh on an interim basis

All change: DSGi Business is on its third boss in 12 months

After less than a year in charge, DSGi Business interim managing director Martin Dorchester has departed the firm.

He joined the company in May last year as chief operating officer before taking the top job after the departure of Jerry Roest in November 2008. He will now be succeeded, on an interim basis, by DSGi's finance development director James Welsh until a permanent successor is identified.

Sources have told CRN that Dorchester's departure hinged on a falling out over his disapproval of plans to integrate VAR Equanet's back-office operations into DSGi. The firm declined to comment on the reasons behind the parting of ways, but issued CRN with a statement confirming Dorchester's departure.
