Northgate boosts Croydon contract
VAR continues its assault on the public sector with a £4.5m managed services deal for Croydon Borough Council
VAR Northgate Information Solutions has bagged a £4.5m, five-year managed services contract with the London Borough of Croydon.
The victory, which will see Northgate deliver a managed service for Croydon’s revenues and benefits department, builds on the council’s implementation of Northgate’s revenues and benefits software in 2006.
Joe Bradley, managing director, Local Government and Social Housing at Northgate Public Services, said in a statement: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Croydon.
“The key to our successful partnership is our shared commitment to rising to the challenges faced by local authorities and by developing new and innovative responses to meet these.”
Nathan Elvery, director of finance and resources at Croydon Council, said: “Croydon Council is committed to delivering a first class benefits to its citizens by adopting innovative practices and new approaches to our work.
“We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Northgate.”
Northgate, which recently acquired pan-European human resource services outfit Arinso, last week announced a 6 per cent jump in turnover for the year to 30 April to £351.7m.
