Cisco invests £39m in Portal

Cisco Systems has taken a $39 million stake in Portal Software to bind the supplier to an alliance deal. Cisco will integrate Portal's Infranet customer management and billing applications with its service management internet software and use it when dealing with users of its IP-based services.
