Graydon steps up fraud fight
Credit intelligence firm launches new service aimed at resellers to share vital financial information
Credit reference agency Graydon has launched a brand new service aimed at IT resellers to help them avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
The IT Reseller Intelligence Network was launched this week, and aims to enable its reseller members to share information on customers and help root out problem clients.
Through a dedicated portal, resellers can get access to a range of information including overdue payments, cheque/direct debit defaults, accounts in dispute, credit limits exceeded and other payment information.
Members are also sent critical alerts from Graydon on frauds that have happened, or types of frauds that are prevalent at that particular time.
Mark Ancell, head of intelligence at Graydon said the service has full support from the industry, with distributors such as Computer 2000, Bell Micro, Westcoast, Computacenter Distribution and many more throwing their weight behind it.
Speaking to CRN, Ancell said: “We have years of experience in the distribution and reseller channel. As the economy gets tougher and fraudsters are on the look out to make a quick gain, it is important that information is shared as much as possible.”
To join the network, VARs must pay an annual membership fee of £500.
