ANS snaps up Landis arm
Existing partners offered continued support
The maintenance and consultancy services division of defunct distributor Landis UK has been bought for an undisclosed sum by Portsmouth-based ANS.
ANS specialises in the support and distribution of IP voice and data communications products. It plans to provide all existing Landis ICT Services partners with continuous support via its own IP-NET Support product.
The firm claims that IP-NET Support will allow resellers to maintain networks "regardless of size".
Kevin Winstanley, managing director of ANS, said: "The takeover of the maintenance division of Landis UK is another major step for ANS towards becoming the UK's premier data and voice support company.
"It also provides resellers, left high and dry by the collapse of Landis in the UK, with the comfort of knowing that continuous support is available without having to alert the end-user."
Landis went into administration earlier this year. The company's training division was snapped up by rival distributor Sphinx CST.
