Daisy ties up 19th acquisition

VAR also hints at further acquisitions after it snapped up 3,700 customers from rival 4Com

Lancashire-based VAR Daisy Communications has bolstered its customer base with its 19th acquisition.

The firm has taken more than 3,700 customers from Wiltshire-based 4Com, in a deal worth £5.5m. Daisy estimates the buy will add £8.4m to its annual turnover.

Following the acquisition, 4Com will continue as a separate company.

Daisy’s chief financial officer, Anthony Riley, said the acquisition will mean business as usual for its new customers. He added that the firm is in an acquisitive mood.

“We anticipate there being lots of opportunities in the current climate, which we will be taking advantage of this year. We are continually looking to add customers to our base.”
