Axis Moves Across to UK With Hopes to Wrap up its Presence

Networking company Axis Communications set up a UK office last week, after the company decided it needed to have a physical presence.

The company originated in Sweden 10 years ago and now has an annual turnover of $50 million worldwide. Its products connect directly to the Lan instead of via a PC, server or workstation, enabling them to function as independent Web servers.

Justine Cross, channel marketing manager at Axis, said: ?We feel the need for a UK office due to the rapid growth in the market, especially with the introduction of our latest range of products. Our business will be restricted to the channel. It?s important to build strong relationships with distributors and work with resellers in the UK.?

Despite having no physical presence in the UK, Axis has been supplying the market via distributors Ingram Micro and AFP Solutions.

Cross said in the meantime, the company would continue to work with its existing partners. ?We have big plans for the UK and hope to double our turnover in the first year,? she added.
