Integralis in Bluesocket deal
VAR and wireless security vendor sign partnership agreement
Wireless security vendor Bluesocket has signed a partnership deal with VAR Integralis in a bid to boost its share of the European enterprise market.
Bluesocket manufactures systems that provide security and management features for wireless networks, while Integralis integrates security systems for end-user communications.
The partnership will see Integralis market and integrate Bluesocket's range of wireless gateways into a number of its enterprise wireless LAN projects.
"With the largest team focused on IT security in Europe, Integralis should expedite Bluesocket's presence in the European enterprise market," said Martin Cassidy, vice-president at Bluesocket EMEA.
Earlier this month Integralis suffered a set-back when it was stripped of its distributor status by security vendor Foundstone and offered a less favourable reseller contract. The company is hoping the Bluesocket deal will re-strengthen its position.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of e92plus, said Bluesocket could do well from the partnership.
"It will get exposure, and Integralis is in a good position to do this. Our products compete with Bluesocket's, and we are seeing the wireless security space gaining momentum."
