C2000 LOL at Symantec and Veritas

The entire software portfolio of the combined Symantec and Vertias is now fully incorporated into the distributor's online licensing offering

Computer 2000 (C2000) has incorporated the entire unified Symantec and Veritas software licensing programme onto its Licensing OnLine (LOL) system.

The distributor is also offering full support for the vendor's Express and Rewards schemes through LOL.

C2000 claims the move means VARs can use LOL to extract the maximum value from Symantec sales. To add more value to each sale, resellers can also use a tag-selling feature in the system that offers customers a maintenance option, thus creating a recurring revenue stream.

Alice Smitherman, product marketing director at C2000, said: “The arrival of the unified Symantec scheme on LOL is excellent news for resellers. It is much simpler for everyone. With both the Express and Rewards schemes now available on LOL, all resellers can get the maximum benefits from their commitment to Symantec through C2000.”

She added the re-levelling feature also included in LOL can help resellers further boost margin.

“The automatic re-levelling is a valuable tool as it will tell the reseller which of the schemes – Express or Rewards – will best suit any particular order for Symantec products, ensuring resellers get the best deal for themselves and their customers.”
