Cobweb catches channel manager

Mark Davies unveiled as new channel manager for hosted Exchange services firm

Hosted Exchange service provider Cobweb Solutions has promoted Mark Davies to the post of channel manager in a bid to attract new resellers and strengthen its channel.

After launching a partner programme in June, Fareham-based Cobweb aims to reach 100,000 hosted mailboxes in 2009.

Davies joined Cobweb in 2000 as service desk manager, holding several positions since. At his most recent position within Management Systems, he was responsible for managing Cobweb’s Quality and Security systems, process and accreditations.

Mark Adams, managing director of Cobweb, said: “As margins in hardware are slashed and with businesses tightening their purse strings, SaaS solutions such as Microsoft’s Hosted Exchange is a key way to maintain profit despite the credit crunch.
