UK VARs make high-growth list
Channel well-represented in Sunday Times Tech Track list of 100 top growing technology firms
A number of channel firms made the cut this year for the Sunday Times Tech Track list of the UK's 100 fastest-growing private technology firms.
The list is researched and compiled by Oxford-based research firm Fast Track. It ranks companies based on their revenue growth during the last three financial years. Top of the pile this year was mobile services provider the Mobile Interactive Group. Its revenue grew from £252,000 to almost £36m over the past three years, an annual growth rate of well over 400 per cent.
IT services provider Adventi and managed services specialist Adapt came in at 14th and 15th respectively after posting annual growth of more than 120 per cent.
Telecoms firm Chess is 32nd with yearly revenue growth of more than 80 per cent. AV integrator Audio Visual Machines came in at 37 with annual growth of almost 75 per cent, while support services company Comms-care is 40th with about 70 per cent yearly growth.
Integrator Intrinsic Technology was 58th with annual growth of more than 55 per cent while acquisitive VAR 2e2 came 66th with just under 50 per cent yearly growth. ISP Griffin Internet is 71st and reseller Probrand is 75th after both managed annual growth of more than 40 per cent. Mancunian VAR ANS came 100th after posting average yearly growth of more than 35 per cent.
