RPC partnership deal gives resellers a boost
Channel benefits from membership of organisation that offers free on-site vendor training
Reseller members of the Brigantia buying group have benefited from its strategic partnership with Retail Profiling Consultants (RPC) which enables Brigantia members to receive free on-site vendor training (CRN, 15 June).
Iain Shaw, Brigantia director, said: “We’re more than happy with the way things have gone so far; all the feedback from our resellers has been positive and we’ll look to build on this next year with more vendors.”
Mike Evans, managing director of RPC, said: “We have a successful four-year track record of delivering on-site product training and marketing support direct to the reseller channel, building the knowledge, confidence and ultimately their capability to build sales within their chosen market sector.
“For example, RPC is the chosen partner to deliver the on-site nationwide training for McAfee’s Security-Alliance Partner Programme and Professional Advisor training for Intuit’s QuickBooks Accounting software. The most progressive resellers look to constantly develop their market standing by gaining a more detailed understanding of the vendor’s products and proposition.”
Colin Baglow, managing director of reseller Complete Computing, said: “RPC staff have talked us through products and point of sale (PoS) kit for Western Digital, APC & BullGuard. Being a smaller retailer in Devon I really struggle to obtain the correct PoS information I need from vendors as they tend to focus on larger retailers.”
Allan Rutland, assistant manager at the Cumbria-based U-Compute Computer Services, said: “The main benefit is that RPC come to us – the training from vendors is usually done in or around London, and it isn’t easy for us to attend vendor training days.”
