Management reshuffle at Micro Peripherals as md leaves

Distributor Micro Peripherals (Micro-P) has been playing management merry-go-round with Anthony Catterson leaving the managing director’s role after just a few months.

The firm told CRN Catterson left the business to “pursue other interests”.

Donal Murphy, managing director of BCC, the parent company of Micro-P confirmed Mike Alden, group finance director for Sircom distribution, another part of the group has been appointed as acting managing director “with immediate effect”.

Gordon McDowell has also been appointed as non-executive chairman to the Micro-P board.

“It is normal to have management changes from time to time,” said Murphy.

One distributor, which asked to remain anonymous added: “It is perfectly normal to have management changes, but when you have changes at the very top, there are usually underlying reasons behind it – whether it is performance related or just a natural progression,” he said.
