MIS gains Check Point Platinum badge

Integrator secures top-tier accreditation

Graham Jones: If people are willing to invest in Ceck Point, good luck to them.

Security integrator MIS has claimed to have profited from Check Point’s recent move to a more value-based channel programme after netting Platinum status with the vendor.

MIS has become the UK’s fourth Check Point top-tier partner, alongside Integralis, Vistorm and Netstore.

Etienne Greeff, director at MIS, said the VAR’s promotion from Gold signalled Check Point’s renewed desire to reward smaller partners focused on services and new business.

Integrator Affiniti was demoted to Platinum last year for similar reasons.

“Until last year we could not have been a Platinum partner as we did not have the same volumes as a firm such as Integralis,” said Greeff.

“Check Point has now recognised we can generate new business for it rather than just taking renewals.”

Graham Jones, head of Integralis UK, was in favour of Check Point putting partner investment over sales. “If people are willing to invest in Check Point, good luck to them.”
