Logicalis earns Cisco data centre stripes

Just two months after gaining a Cisco Master in UC, VAR bags top data centre accreditation with networking giant

Wightman: Logicalis ranked among the UK's most qualified data centre experts

Integrator Logicalis can mount yet another Cisco certificate in its foyer after securing the vendor's Advanced Data Centre Networking Infrastructure (DCNI) Specialisation.

The badge is a mark of Logicalis’ expertise in building end-to-end data centre solutions based on Cisco’s data centre products.

In return, the VAR will gain access to additional sales, technical and lifecycle services training and support from Cisco.

Logicalis had to demonstrate its expertise on a range of products, including the Nexus Family of data centre switching products, Catalyst 4900 and 6500 Series Switches and Catalyst Blade switches.

Tom Kelly, managing director of Logicalis, said: “This specialisation from Cisco enables us to demonstrate our knowledge and expertise in an area of IT that is of significant importance to our customers, particularly in light of the economic climate and environmental challenges facing UK plc.”

Bernadette Wightman, director of channels at Cisco, said: “As a Cisco Advanced DCNI Specialised Partner, Logicalis’ investment in the training required to provide integrated, collaborative and adaptive data centre networking solutions ranks it among the industry’s most qualified.”

The commendation comes just two-and-a-half months after Logicalis became only the fourth UK partner to gain Cisco Master status in unified communications.
