CCI's 2009 hard drive sales outstrip expectations
Storage distributor praises vendor partners for its barnstorming performance
CCI said its hard drive sales have exceeded market expectations
Sales of CCI’sportfolio of hard drive products have exceeded market expectations this year, the distributor claims.
The firm has attributed its success to deals it has signed with vendors Toshiba and Hitachi GST this year, and is confident that its hard drives will continue to clock up high sales in 2010.
Nick Preston, sales director at CCI, said: “Forecasts predict a 26 per cent increase in hard drive sales in 2010, and we’re confident of outgrowing the market thanks to the strength of our product portfolio.”
The distributor has also revealed that providing SMEs with pre-integrated storage solutions will form a key component of its overall 2010 growth strategy.
This is an area, said Preston, in which CCI’s recently launched Professional Storage division will play an active part.
“Many industries are crying out for advanced storage solutions, which is why we’ve set up the new division,” added Preston.
“For example, data manipulation within media organisations such as broadcast or publishing houses is a key area. These companies face the challenge of accessing and editing vast quantities of data in short time frames, and many lack the tools with which to do this.”
