Neverfail appoints channel vice-president

Nick Hamer joins vendor to lead its indirect strategy

Disaster recovery vendor Neverfail has appointed its first ever vice-president of channel and sales development to spearhead its indirect strategy.

Nick Harmer has joined Neverfail from email archiving firm KVS where he was global alliances director. While there he signed the company’s first global resellers, Fujitsu and EDS.

Speaking to CRN, Harmer said: “Neverfail’s existing channel has been very successful so I don’t plan to shake it up, but I do plan to add to it. In this position I have two roles – one is to look after the company’s strategic alliances and the other is to build and develop partner relationships.”

To date 80 per cent of Neverfail’s revenue across EMEA is through the channel. In the UK the vendor has more than 100 partners.

Neverfail also unveiled a series of web-based training programmes last week for its partners and customers following a six-figure investment.

Daren Oliver, managing director of Neverfail partner Fitzrovia IT, said: “The eLearning programme is great because it is for both our staff and end-users. We have been a Neverfail partner for two and half years and it has always provided a lot of support.”
