Clearswift nabs Google exec for sales chief
Jesper Frederiksen given worldwide sales post at content security specialist
Frederiksen: Clearswift has an established channel strategy and class-leading technology
Clearswift has nabbed security channel veteran Jesper Frederiksen from Google to head up its global sales effort.
The content security vendor has appointed Frederiksen as vice president of worldwide sales and has tasked him with branching into new geographies. Clearswift has its headquarters in Reading, with branch offices in Sydney, Hamburg, Tokyo, Madrid and New Jersey.
Frederiksen joins from Google Enterprise, where he was head of EMEA sales. Previously, he worked as head of EMEA at Postini, the email security vendor bought by Google two years ago. During a 20-year career he has also held positions at security vendors including Symantec, NetIQ and CA.
Clearswift chief executive Richard Turner, who joined the firm last year, said: "We are delighted to welcome Jesper; I know that, with his experience in the security space and in enterprise sales, he is going to be a real asset to the company. This is an exciting time for Clearswift. As an organisation we are continuing on an upward path and delivering on our planned strategy."
Frederiksen added: "Clearswift is well-positioned for success, with an established channel strategy, class-leading technology and a clear vision for the future. By executing effectively we will continue the recent positive momentum, enabling partners to grow and delivering value to our customers. We are writing a new chapter in the history of Clearswift and I am pleased to be a part of it.”
