Cisco Gold badge to fuel Block ambition

London VAR in bullish mood after gaining a place at Cisco's top table

Golden opportunity: Block claims the accreditation will allow it to go for larger deals

Block Solutions has said that attaining Cisco Gold partner status will allow it to showcase its skills at the higher end of the market.

The VAR’s managing director, Jonathan Pickering, said the accreditation was the result of a four-year plan, building on expertise gained around Cisco’s Telepresence, Unified Computing System and Digital Media Suite technology.

Sales director Rohan Abey said: “As we move into new market sectors, the accreditation will further assure our customers that we can provide the highest level of service and innovation.”

Pickering said: “With the current procurement market, the extra couple of points on deals can make all the difference.”

Block’s agility could help set it apart from larger rivals, added Pickering.

“We differentiate ourselves based on the quality of our people and how we engage with the customer,” he said. “We have a different approach to a lot of the corporates and we offer speed and innovation.”

Bernadette Wightman, managing director of Cisco’s UK and Ireland partner organisation, lauded Block’s investment in high-end technology.

“Block is one of the most innovative partners in the UK,” she said.
