Probrand hails finance results

Reseller credits the itindex.co.uk/gov for 109 per cent growth

Bullish VAR Probrand has seen its first-quarter turnover rocket by 109 per cent to £9m, which it has attributed to its in-house developed public sector procurement tool.

Last month the Birmingham-based firm snatched a lucrative five-figure public sector education contract away from Dell by using the tool known as theitindex.co.uk/gov (CRN, 14 May).

The VAR is looking to grow its sales teams to help it achieve a £30m-plus turnover by the end of the year.

Peter Robbins, managing director of Probrand, said: “[Using the tool] buyers can maximise the opportunity of a best value purchase. Our strong position places us perfectly to serve private and public sector organisations looking to streamline their procurement processes and add value to the bottom line.”
