FD Systems buys into Microsoft Dynamics market

Sage partner sees turnover increase to £13m through acquisition of Clarita

A 'fantastic' opportunity for both FD Systems and Clarita

Sage reseller FD Systems has pole-vaulted into the Microsoft Dynamics space by acquiring Clarita.

The move will increase Cardiff-based FD Systems’ headcount from 100 to 130 and turnover from £10m to £13m.

Microsoft Dynamics Gold partner Clarita, which has 70 customers and offices in Southampton and Gloucester, will be run as a separate business and FD Systems stressed it remains fully committed to its Sage business.

The acquisition will also provide FD Systems with an extra channel for its e-commerce product Gravit-e.

Microsoft Dynamics UK director Paul White welcomed the move. “We are delighted to welcome FD Systems to the Microsoft Dynamics community,” he said.

“The marriage of Clarita’s existing technical capability to the management and financial strength of FD Systems provides greater capability and confidence for both existing and prospective customers.”

Nigel Griffiths, commercial director of FD Systems, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for FD Systems and Clarita, and the most significant deal of its type this year.”
