Stone aligns with Toshiba
VAR set to bolster accreditations with Toshiba accolade
Boardman: VAR likes to own customers from cradle to grave
Stone Computers is investing in becoming an approved Toshiba service centre to help it provide a ‘cradle-to-grave’ service for customers.
As part of the same strategy, Stone unveiled its own £500,000 on-site recycling facility last week.
The reseller and system builder is on course to net the Toshiba accreditation this month, enabling its 80 field engineers to perform on-site repairs on the Toshiba kit.
Nick Boardman, mobile technical director at Stone, said Toshiba would be an important partner for Stone in the education sector because they are working together for the government’s Home Access scheme.
“Rather than relying on Toshiba’s service centres, we can provide a next-business-day response ourselves. We like to own the customer from the cradle to the grave,” he said.
