SCC appoints new UK head

James Rigby takes over the UK managing director role at integrator

Pan-European integrator SCChas appointed James Rigby as UK managing director.

Rigby has been internally promoted, having spent 15 years working in different departments of the business. For the last four years, Rigby has headed up SCC’s services division.

He said: “SCC is one of the best kept secrets in the industry. I want to make our high quality services and approach to business the default choice for customers, and demonstrate more widely how SCC helps businesses get more for less.”

Sir Peter Rigby, chairman and chief executive of SCC, said: "SCC is now one of the top five privately-owned companies in the UK. It was clear we needed one person to head up this part of our business. Our long term vision and strategy for SCC remain unchanged. James’ appointment, however, will affect SCC in two important ways.

"It will ensure a focused and dedicated approach in the UK, under his control, and enable expansion and increased support across the eight other European countries in which we operate. James has 15 years’ expertise and experience in the IT services industry and is ideally placed to spearhead UK growth and delivery on our promises.

"SCC is committed to innovation and providing a wide range of services to our customers,” continued Sir Peter. “The decision to install one person with overall management control of the UK market reinforces this commitment to quality, while maintaining the family-business feel, of which we are all proud, " added Rigby.
