Westcon takes Great Bay to Europe

Distributor signs pan-European deal with end point profiling vendor

The deal will provide European Westcon resellers with access to Great Bay's products

Westcon Security has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with network-attached end point profiling vendor Great Bay Software.

The deal means that Westcon resellers in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands will now have access to Great Bay’s product portfolio, including its flagship Beacon Endpoint Profiler appliance.

The product provides IT managers with access to information regarding all the end point devices attached to their networks.

Willem de Haan, vice president of the security division at Westcon Group Europe, said: "A comprehensive view of everything connected to the network is absolutely critical to manage a proper network and application security.

"With Great Bay Software, we are now able to provide to our European resellers with a unique solution for end point discovery, 802.X implementation and management and MAC authentication.”
