Visual Nexus in software launch
Latest offering aimed at medium and large enterprises
Vendor Visual Nexus has launched a video, voice and data conferencing software offering that it has claimed provides better video and audio quality than traditional videoconferencing (VC) systems.
Aimed at medium and large enterprises, Visual Nexus Version 3 is an online meeting system that offers higher levels of scalability than existing VC products, according to the vendor.
Geoff Seabrook, chief executive of Visual Nexus, told CRN: “The benefit of our product is that it provides a desktop VC solution that can support multiple users.
“It also has data sharing and application collaboration built in so that while users are engaged in VC they can also share documents online.”
Visual Nexus’s route to market is entirely through the channel.
“We work with two types of VARs. We have two classic integrators and two service providers that basically sell the whole solution as a managed service. I’d like to bring in more resellers, ideally taking us up to about 10 in the UK,” Seabrook added.
Rob Gowman, senior sales consultant at VC reseller JKC, said: "Polycom and Sony have been our two main vendors, particularly with regards to video conferencing room solutions.
"We now also resell the Visual Nexus product which offers versatility to extend video conferencing to the desktop and people on the move. We experienced good growth in the industry last year and our expectation is for this to continue."
