Ergotron signs pan-European distribution deal with Tech Data

Agreement builds on the pair's existing relationship

Vendor Ergotron has signed a pan-European distribution deal with Tech Data that builds on the duo’s existing relationship in the US.

The manufacturer, which claims to be rapidly growing its channel presence with its own-branded solutions, has turned to Tech Data in Europe after boosting sales through the broadliner in the US by 25 per cent in 2006. Tech Data is parent company of Computer 2000 in the UK.

John van der Veld, vice-president of the Ergotron EMEA business unit, said: “With its advanced logistics, distribution systems and growing footprint throughout Europe, Tech Data can help us to raise awareness of Ergotron in the region and the benefits that it can deliver to both business and home users.”

With ergonomics and the working environment currently high on the business agenda, Tech Data claimed that Ergotron’s solutions for LCDs, notebooks and large displays will hold a strong appeal for VARs.

Reza Honarmand, Tech Data’s director of business development EMEA, said: “For resellers, the Ergotron range represents an excellent opportunity to deliver added value to their customers and make excellent margins for their business.”

Ergotron also manufactures mounting solutions for a number of PC system vendors. It recently set up a manufacturing joint venture in China to serve its OEM customers.
