Irongate opens up print management market
General office supplies dealer expands print management business
Irongate sells a range of office supplies, including IT and print services
Office supplies reseller Irongate Group has expanded its print management business with the inking of two new contracts.
The East Midlands firm has won a tender to supply Leicester plumbing distributor BSS Group with print products and services in a rolling 12-month contract.
Adam Noble, managing director at Irongate, said pricing, turnaround times and flexible account management were key.
“Despite world economic uncertainty, Irongate grew its business 2009 to 2010 and recorded its best-ever year,” Noble said.
The deal will see Irongate print and distribute 180 types of business stationery to 400 BSS branches in the UK and Ireland. BSS will also adopt Irongate’s web-to-print offering, with a view to slashing ordering and production times.
Irongate also won a deal to make and distribute training manuals for a large South Yorkshire company, using Irongate’s own print-on-demand and distribution service. Together, the two deals are worth £1.3 million a year.
The deals follow Irongate’s acquisitions of Birmingham’s Hudson Group and Progressive Print Services (PPS). Hudson will merge with PPS, and continue offering print services as Hudson.
