Fraud on the up
The value of major UK fraud cases rose to £250m during the first six months of 2005, up from £98m in the same period last year, according to KPMG. The accountancy firm’s Forensic Fraud Barometer also recorded an increase in the number of individual cases, up by 10 from 78 at the same period last year. London and the south east suffered the highest number of fraud cases.
