HP appoints new UK head

Nick Wilson steps into the role left vacant by Steve Gill

HP has appointed Nick Wilson as its new UK and Ireland managing director to replace Steve Gill after his move to a Korean role.

Wilson will start the role with immediate effect and will be responsible for driving the HP enterprise business in the UK and Ireland. His role will also incorporate the role of general manager and vice president Technology Solutions Group (TSG) UK & Ireland.

He will report to Francesco Serafini, managing director HP EMEA and senior vice president TSG EMEA.

Wilson has worked in the IT industry for 20 years, with past roles including president and chief executive for the CSC UK, Nordics, Middle East and Africa.

Serafini said in a statement: “We are delighted that such a highly experienced and talented business leader like Nick Wilson has decided to join HP.

“His excellent leadership skills and previous track record will help to drive future growth in the UK & Ireland. His wealth of international and local market experience, his strong customer and people focus and his experience in the services business makes him the perfect fit for this role.”
