CCI signs storage pair
Distributor's professional storage push gathers steam with signing of Maxtronic and QNAP
Distributor CCI Distribution claims to have bolstered its professional storage offering by signing with vendors Maxtronic and QNAP Systems.
CCI has been granted exclusive UK distribution rights for Maxtronic’s Arena RAID disk arrays, which provide external data storage for a range of applications and traditional enterprise data back-up.
The distributor has also won rights to QNAP’s network video recorder surveillance solutions and network attached storage subsystems.
Tony Howard, project manager at CCI, earmarked professional storage as a growth hotspot for the distributor.
“The market for professional data storage is one of the biggest growth areas in IT and represents a great opportunity for us to significantly expand our business,” he said.
Howard added that both Maxtronic and QNAP had “an appetite to grow”.
Evan Chen, UK manager at QNAP Systems, said: “All our market research supports our belief that the UK market is forecasted to deliver considerable growth within the CCTV and surveillance sector over the coming years, making this the perfect time to partner with CCI and step up our UK market presence.”
Stanley Yu-Chih at Arena, said: “When looking for a suitable route-to-market in the UK, CCI stood out because of its size, expertise and the scope of its ambitions. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
