Midwich signs Samsung and Sanyo

Distributor's digital imaging portfolio given boost with big-name signings

Midwich has bolstered its digital imaging portfolio by signing distribution agreements with Samsung and Sanyo.

The agreement with Samsung is for its full range of digital cameras, while the Sanyo deal will see Midwich distribute Sanyo’s Xacti range of cameras.

Alistair Coyne, product manager at Midwich, said: “This is timely because the fourth quarter is traditionally our busiest period for digital camera sales. We already sell Canon, Kodak, Olympus and Sony, but we felt that Samsung and Sanyo could bring something new to the table.”

Gary Banks, sales director at Samsung, said: “Midwich is an ideal partner to bring opportunities and allow us to extend our channel distribution.”

Steve Ainge, business manager for Sanyo Europe, said: “Midwich has enjoyed great success with the Sanyo AV [audiovisual] projector range. I am confident it can do the same for Sanyo Digital Imaging.”
